Leslie Marmon Silko's novel Almanac of the Dead (1991) contains a static 'Five Hundred Year Map' of Native American history around the Arizona/Mexican border:

I decided to map the novel's settings chapter-by-chapter to see if the animated version would change our perception of the map. Also, I aimed at depicting the unfolding spatiality of the narrative.
